The Global Farming and Humanity Organization Sierra Leone (GFHO-SL) has engaged several communities in Port Loko and Moyamba districts to discuss structured community farm projects in various chiefdoms. The organization engaged local farmers and community authorities to discuss a proposal that will enhance sustainable food security. GFHO-SL made a request to community heads to provide farm lands and the organization will provide seeds and farm tools to equip the farmers to do their work until the harvest. The organization will then jointly work on proper packaging and sales. The proceeds will then be shared between the community and the organization and then GFHO-SL will use their share to embark on their humanitarian and philanthropic jobs. GFHO-SL is a registered organization of young Sierra Leoneans both at home and abroad who wants to use agriculture not just to provide sustainable food security but to help provide basic community needs including public health care facilities, school materials to the less privileged kids and provide livelihood especially for women.
